About

connecting and inspiring moms to

live and fulfill their lives while embracing motherhood

If you’re like most moms I know, you love being a mom, you love your children more than life itself, you would do anything for them, you know you are blessed. And if you’re like most moms I know you are stressed, tired, overwhelmed, always putting everyone and their needs before your own. You find yourself yelling, crying, questioning if you’re happy and you feel guilty for even thinking of that. You are not sure if you have any hobbies, you rarely get alone time and when you do mom guilt takes over.

I see you, I hear you, because I was there

Angela Garcia Coach & Mom

Hey! I'm Angela Garcia

I’m married to a hard-working man, Luis, and I’m a Mom to three handsome boys (Luisangel, Joseangel & Abelangel). Together, we enjoy camping, traveling, watching football (Go Broncos!), and watching a great movie.

MY PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT JOURNEY BEGAN IN 2017

I started with a career as a teacher and found my worthiness through my job title. When I quit teaching to be a stay at home mom, I had an identity crisis. Who was I? Was being a stay at home mom good enough? They don’t even say thank you to all the wonderful things I do.

I grew up believing that I had to be “somebody” to be good enough, so I identified with my job title. I didn’t have the worst childhood, but I didn’t have the best. It’s part of my story that I am still healing through. Through this identity crisis, I felt alone and frustrated. Until I was introduced to a life coach.

SELF CARE

I took a course and it planted a seed in my life. I began to uncover layers that had been placed upon me and discovered who I was and what I wanted in my life. I began to talk about my childhood trauma, began working on myself, and began to heal my marriage. I felt alive again and became a more present and loving Mom and Wife.

HEALING AND DISCOVERING A NEW PATH

Through this, I realized that there were many women just like me trying to be the best mom they could be yet feeling like they were failing.  Women that had their own wounds to heal to show up in their kids lives the best way possible. I began working with different coaches to focus and heal areas of my life. I began taking coaching courses because teaching is a part of who I am. It is deeply rooted in me and I knew I could teach other women what I was learning.

MOMS WHO RISE

Moms Who Rise was born out of my mom funk. It was created to give moms a community where they can connect and grow as women and also embrace their motherhood journey. Nobody handed us a handbook, but what I do know is that to show up genuinely for your kids, your spouse, and the other important people in your life, you need to take care of you first. Moms Who Rise is not only an online community we also meet through our monthly mom socials, quarterly workshops, and the Moms Who Rise conference that is hosted twice a year.
