Our Mom Socials have been one of many things I look forward to every month. It is the perfect time for me to step away from my daily duties, meet new moms and connect with old friends. I was looking forward to December’s Mom Social, because I wanted to wear my ugly sweater. I have to share this story with you all, I had never owned a Christmas Ugly Sweater until last year (I say Christmas because I am sure I have owned a few ugly sweaters in my lifetime), I was super excited to wear it last December and then….. my baby threw up on it, I mean full explosion all over me, so this year I did not put it on until I walked out the door.
This Mom Social was special, both Mariah and I love to give and have a passion for helping others, so for this event we asked the Moms who were attending to bring a book to be donated to a rehab facility here in town. We collected about 15 children’s books and it makes my heart happy knowing that we can deliver these books thanks to our #momtribe.
These past 13 Mom Socials have been full of growth for many of us. Many women really step out of their comfort zones to attend a Mom Social, many have to ask for help and hire a babysitter. Some Moms need the relaxed environment and a time to just connect with other women. What ever the reason may be knowing that there is a Mom Social around the corner makes this Momma happy.
How often do you meet up with friends?
