I was born in Kolkata, India and came to the US when I was 6. My grandparents never allowed us to speak English in the house so I grew up speaking fluent Bengali. I met my husband in college and this year we celebrated 13 years together, 8 being married with a dog and a darling 2.5 rainbow baby girl!
Between running a business while working full time and raising a toddler, there’s never a dull day in our home and I wouldn’t change a thing.
Now lets talk business, what do you do? Have you always wanted to have your own business- what inspired you to go down this journey?
I’m an organizational and productivity coach for moms! I work 1:1 with mamas-to-be to make them more organized, empowered and confident as they transition to motherhood. It goes beyond curating their registry, packing that perfect hospital bag but truly digging into the mindset of being confident with their decisions as a mom, establishing routines that give their time back and remembering who they were before a mother. I started this business because as moms, our voices and identity become lost because we are always selfless and end up feeling burnt out with the million things on our to-do task list.
What advice do you have for moms who want to start a business?
Life is full of lessons, what has this quarantine taught you?
Give yourself grace and be patient. Working full time, running a business and managing a toddler is not an easy job. It’s hard to be a 100% mother, employee or business owner so it really put everything on pause so I can just be in the moment with my daughter and the emails, texts can wait.
