We all love being a mom, before we talk about mom life, share with us who you are. We want to know your story- what do you love to do? what are you passionate about?
My name is Corina but I also go by Tina! I love connecting with like-minded people and making strong connections. I love serving and supporting others! Over the past few years, I have connected more with lifelong friends, coworkers, my church family, students and numerous people in my community. I am a teacher so I am passionate about education. It feels good to know when I have helped a student change the cycle! I have helped them become more aware of how they can succeed and not repeat a pattern or be limited to what other people have told them.
I enjoy doing bible studies and book clubs, traveling to different places for workshops and events that cover these topics. I enjoy anything that has to do with writing and literature. I am also an artist and have recently been more drawn to calligraphy.
I am also a lover of Christ, proud auntie, god-mother, sister, cousin, friend, scholar and team player!
There are many roles that I have gained but nothing beats being a mother!
My story has been compared to Job so it’s a bit overwhelming to share and those who know me will tell you I have experienced a lot of loss. But with that comes faith and gratitude and awareness. I am more passionate about mental health and suicide awareness! I have big goals to help with this in my community! God is good!
Our state is beautiful what outdoor activities do you enjoy?
My boys enjoy wrestling and basketball. We like to do day trips to community events we hear about on social media so we have spent time out in the mountains as well. We also take my daughter to the
parks when we can. We LOVE fall weather
What advice do you have for moms who want are debating on going back or continuing with their education?
- My advice is to do it afraid. Anything really. The time is going to pass either way and nobody likes to admit when they are still in the same place. I also know how it feels to be anxious so you have to learn to think differently about anxiety and fear of failure. Anxiety is really just excitement about doing or learning something new. So do it afraid!
- I also want to encourage moms to think outside themselves and how they can use passion and purpose to launch their goals. Most will say they don't know what they like to do. Push yourself to get out of your comfort level and go find out what that is! Get involved. Research different things. Make connections with different people. Do something for someone else. In doing all that, this can help when pursuing to further education and endeavors.
