Before we talk about your business, tell us who you are?
My name is Esperanza Vargas, I am originally from Delicias, Chihuahua, MX. I was raised in La Salle, CO. I am married and have two children. I graduated from Valley High School, in Gilcrest, CO. I worked for 24 years for attorney’s in Greeley as a receptionist, filling clerk and legal assistant. I’m one of the co-owners of Xodus Total Cleaning, LLC.
Now lets talk business, what sets you apart? How did you start on your journey?
Well after working for so long in an office, I was getting to the point where I felt that I need a change in my working carrier and was pretty much burned out. In early 2018, I was laid off from my job and that actually, was a blessing because I was able to explore my options as to what I wanted to do next. After much prayer, the Lord shined His light and I decided that I wanted to start my own cleaning business. I was blessed to have met my friend and now business partner Jeanette Alvarez. God allowed Jeanette to cross my path because it was thru her that I discovered how much I enjoyed cleaning! So, after several months of praying and thinking, I asked Jeanette if she wanted to join me in my new journey. Thankfully after giving it some thought she said “Yes”, lol! That’s how my journey started and here we are now going on our second year in business. I am forever grateful to our good Lord for this
opportunity and many more things! Change was scary but like I said, I am grateful and feel very blessed that things happened the way they did, otherwise I would still be stuck in an office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and probably not happy. God is Good ALWAYS! To Him be all the honor and glory.
What advice do you have for moms who want to start a business?
- My advise would be to first pray about it and ask for the Lords leading because without Him we are nothing can do nothing and can be nothing.
- Second, once the Lord shines His light and answers your prayer as to what road to take, simply just do it!
- Last, change is scary but when you relay and depend on God, He makes every step of the way in your journey much easier.
- Always put God first in all that you do, and He will open many doors that no one can shut! I pray for all those mom's out there that are feeling lost that they find what their heart desires and many blessings in Christ!
just for fun
Did you make a New Year’s resolution? If yes, what is it? If no, why?
The only and one thing that I desire every year is for Christ to continue to make His home in my heart day by day, that He have the preeminence in all things, to be my speaking ALWAYS and for many to be saved and know this awesome and wonderful God we have.
