We all love being a mom, before we talk about mom life, share with us who you are. We want to know your story- what do you love to do? what are you passionate about?
My name is Gabriela Muñoz, I am from Chihuahua, Mexico. I am 28 years old and a mother of two. I am the youngest of 3 siblings. At the age of 6 my family migrated to the beautiful State of Colorado. My parents are the biggest role models in my life. They have taught me to work for everything we want and showed me that anything is possible if you put your mind to it. I graduated Northridge High School in 2010. At the age of 22, I was working as a receptionist for an insurance agency when I realized that I wanted to become an insurance agent and that possibly one day I would have the privilege of owning an insurance agency. I had the mindset of doing so and a year later I had the opportunity of making that dream come true. I currently own Aztlan Insurance Agency here in Greeley, CO and I am very passionate about what I do. It’s a great satisfaction helping individuals with insurance related needs, and knowing I am helping my Hispanic community. I am also a member of the Hispanic Women of Weld County. Aside from work I enjoy spending time with my family. We enjoy traveling especially to Mexico.
Mom is a title we are all proud of, tell us your birth story!
I married my best friend in 2012. I am the mother of two blessings, Kaylee 6, and Julian Jr. 2. As we cannot have any more biological children, we eventually want to continue growing our family through adoption.
What advice do you have for first time moms?
What has this quarantine taught you?
Quarantine has taught me how to value everything we have.
Seeing how so many people have been affected in so many ways. Every day I thank God for new opportunities and to guide me in any way to help others in need. Like I mentioned being an insurance agent and owner my clients are mostly Hispanic and I have encountered so many clients not having the resources to help them get through this difficult times. From losing their jobs to worse losing their love ones. People that I was able to see each month are now gone. It breaks my heart and I pray for every family. I have gone out of my way to help many individuals as much as I can. We have donated to those in need and I will continue doing so.
