I am mother to two beautiful children, Ashlee and Wyatt, and wife to a hard working (and incredibly handsome) man, Anthony. I am the Office Manager over at Balloon Art by Merry Makers, and working with Allison has been such an awe-inspiring experience. She is encouraging me to grow and has even helped me to start my own business within Merry Makers, Wylee Events by Merry Makers (Wylee being a mixture of Wyatt and Ashlee, and meaning crafty). We’re both excited for me to start on this new adventure! I am also Vice President of the Greeley Business Women’s Network (GBWN) and the National Greeley Art Exhibition (NGAE), and one of the leaders of Kersey’s Girl Scout Troop!
Last spring I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, so for the past year my family and I have been dealing with treatment changes, infusions and the side effects. My family has been absolutely AMAZING, and I wouldn’t want anyone else as my teammates! I am going to participate in Walk MS this year, over in Windsor, and would love some company! Anyone who might be interested should reach out!
In my spare time (when I have it), I love to read, watch movies, sew, craft and go camping with my family.

Last summer Anthony and the kids took me up to Big Creek Lakes for my birthday, and it was one of my favorite camping trips! The camping spots are all cozy and the hike up the Big Creek Falls is not too difficult, but the falls are ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! We went up for an extended weekend, went fishing, hiking, played board games and just relaxed! I suggest it to everyone!
What has motherhood taught you?
- My husband and I did everything a bit out of order, so our daughter Ashlee actually attended our wedding at just six weeks old. Our guests probably only came to see her, and had no interest in seeing us say our vows! Being parents at just 20 years old, still working on our degrees and now newlywed, we struggled. Motherhood quickly taught me how to be patient and understanding and it taught me that some things are not going to go quite as you planned them.
- It also taught me that life is so incredibly beautiful! Your life can be an absolute mess but your daughter comes home to practice her interview questions with you and absolutely NAILS IT and you are just so incredibly proud, or your son comes home reading chapter books when just a year ago he was in speech therapy and your heart is just so full. Motherhood has taught me to soak up these moments of bliss and appreciate what I do have.
what is your favorite book to read?
ALL OF THEM! If it’s a book, I’ll read it! I read over 200 books in 2019, with a goal of 100 in 2020. I suggest the Goodreads App to any readers, it’s AMAZING!
