We all love being a mom, before we talk about mom life, share with us who you are. We want to know your story- what do you love to do? what are you passionate about?
Hola! I’m Laura, born in CD. Juarez Chi. Mexico but raised in Greeley, CO. I been married for 13 years and we have 3 wonderful kids. Two boys (13yr & 4yr) and our princess (12yr).
I love connecting with people and learning about different backgrounds, cultures, and traditions. I enjoy crime shows, cooking for everyone, learning new styles of cooking, spending quality time with my family. We all love soccer, canvas painting, exercising together, traveling, and exploring new taco/food trucks (true story lol). We love giving back to the community and I love getting my kids involved too!
I am a big goofball 🤠but I truly love and enjoy making people laugh, and I have always said that laughter is the best medicine. I am not afraid to be myself (I’ve clowned around … literally, been school mascots, balloon animals, done silly videos, dance and sing if a good song plays at a shopping center, and best thing at of all is that I make a minivan look cool 😎). I’ve been a soccer coach for middle school and young kiddos for quite sometime now and I absolutely love it!
My biggest role model is my sister. She’s my hero, my rock, my tortilla to my taco, the pan dulce to my hot chocolate. I really don’t know what I’d do without her.
I’m thankful with the Lord for giving me an opportunity everyday at life. Thankful for everything I have. 💙
Mom is a title we are all proud of, tell us your birth story!
My eldest son was born 5 de Mayo, my daughter’s birthday occasionally falls on Thanksgiving Day and my youngest son’s birthday is two days before Valentine’s day and 4 days before my birthday!
What advice do you have for first time moms?
- Don't feel like you have to live up to what society expects from you.
- You do you and just remember that things will get easier.
- Remember to breathe and take breaks!
- Always reach out if you feel like you are overwhelmed (it's ok to ask for help). You are not alone and remember that you are doing an awesome job!
