Our readers want to get to know you first, tell us about YOU what is your story?
I am originally from Denver, Colorado but have lived in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for the last 8 years. I attended Oklahoma State University where I met my husband, Ethan. We got married in September of 2018 and recently welcome our first baby on May 1st. I have experienced a lot of change in the past 6 years of my life after losing my dad and brother to suicide 3 years apart. Through those tragedies I have discovered that my purpose is to use my story and my words to offer hope to others!
Now let’s talk business, what do you do? Have you always wanted to have your own business- what inspired you to go down this journey?
I am a co-author of the book Keep Looking Up and run a home-based health and wellness business! To be honest, I never would have imagined myself being an author or having a health and wellness business, but they couldn’t align better with my goals. Writing the book and running my business both have the same purpose, to serve others. After the losses I experienced, and the nature of the losses, my passion for inspiring others to live a healthy life in every way possible only grew more. I believe our physical, emotional, and mental health must all work cohesively to live a fulfilled life!
What advice do you have for moms who want to start a business?
- Whether it be starting a business, writing a book or going after any other dream you have, never feel guilty for choosing to do what you feel called to do.
- We must lead by example for our kids and following our dreams will only inspire them to do the same thing!
- Own your story and do what you believe your purpose is on this earth!
Life is full of lessons, what has this quarantine taught you?
Quarantine has taught me that it is okay to slow down. I have the type of personality that believes I must be busy all the time to be really making progress, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Spending time resting and soaking in time with family can lead to feeling more fulfilled by the things that matter most!
