Meet Lauren

Before we talk about your business, tell us who you are?

I am a mom of three (8, 4, and 2) living in River Falls, WI. My husband and I have been together for ten years and married for five years. This year we decided to homeschool, and I am excited to add that to my mom resume 🙂 I became a mom at 19, our daughter was a true blessing in disguise. Becoming young parents when we were just dating has been my husband and I’s greatest challenge yet has created the strong bond and relationship we have today.

When I am not working on my business or running my kiddos to activities, I love being outside, at the cabin in the summer, and snuggled under a blanket by our fireplace in the winter.

Now let’s talk business, what sets you apart? How did you start on your journey?

My entrepreneur journey started in Network Marketing in 2012. I worked with a health and wellness company and loved it for a while. In February 2019 I hit a point of burn out. I had been working my butt off with minimal return, so I decided to look for something else. This led me to the Virtual Assistant world. I bought a course and quickly had a handful of clients. While I enjoyed the steady income for my family, I knew I was being called to do different work. I knew I wanted to impact the lives of moms in a different way. I wanted to come alongside them and guide them be the best version of themselves. This led me to a Health and Life coaching certification. Now I get to help mamas break the chains of negative self-talk and guilt so they can live their best lives– without deprivation or diets! A client told me the other day she is literally a different person from the woman she was before we started working together. It brought us both to tears.

What advice do you have for moms who want to start a business?

What book or podcast do you recommend?

I love listening to “Thinking Like A Boss” with Kate Crocco, “Goal Digger” with Jenna Kutcher, and “The Christy Wright Show” with Christy Wright. Books I love include “You’re A Badass at Making Money” and “You’re Already Amazing”.
