Meet Lisette

We all love being a mom, before we talk about mom life, share with us who you are. We want to know your story- what do you love to do? what are you passionate about?

I am a mom of 3 girls that has worked in education for almost 15 years. This is all I’ve been since I had my first child at 19 years old. I have never really had a passion. I haven’t taken the time to get to know myself. Figure out what brings me joy and so for it. Some of the things that I do know I like doing is going out for coffee or dinner with my girlfriends. Getting up early before my family to have a drink of coffee or on weekdays taking time to do my make-up while I listen to an audio book. I feel that I still have a journey to go though in finding myself.

Mom is a title we are all proud of, tell us your birth story!

I had my first girl at 19 years old. Her labor was a tough one. I was induced and was in labor for over 24 hours. I did end up having a vaginal birth, but she had to be put on oxygen right away. I was very swollen cause of my pre-eclampsia and she pulled a nerve at the time of delivery, then taken straight to ICU for 4 days. She’s 12 years old now and is a sweet healthy girl. My second pregnancy came just 2 years after my first. I had no issues with her. Her delivery was quick even though she was at 9 lbs. 11 oz. It took me almost 9 years to have my third girl. All her pregnancy went well. I was being checked 6 weeks prior to delivery date because of how big she was measuring in the ultrasound. I did get induced 6 days before my delivery date. I think my body was ready because labor went well that I had a vaginal delivery and she came in at a whopping 10 lbs. 4 oz.

What advice do you have for first time moms?
