Before we talk about your business, tell us who you are?
I’m a mom to two sweet girls who LOVE giggling, a wife to my loving husband, a wannabe farmer, and follower of Jesus.
We recently moved to 5 acres in the country to raise our kids with some room to run and play, and to be able to grow more of our own food. I’m a homebody and absolutely love being home on our “mini farm” as we affectionately call it.
Now lets talk business, what sets you apart? How did you start on your journey?
If you would have told me 5 years ago that I’d be running my own business with two kids at home, a dozen goats, and 5 acres of land to maintain, I would have laughed pretty hard.
I started on this business journey searching for a creative outlet that I could work on during nap times as a stay at home mom. I started a blog, and ended up really loving sharing recipes, finding ways to serve my readers, and producing creative content.
Unlike some people who “stumble” into the blogging as business world, I set out on this journey with the business at the forefront of my mind. My goal was simple: bring my husband home from his engineering job so that he can be more available as our kids are growing up, and as we continue down this farm-ish adventure.
I haven’t reached my goal yet, but I’m 100% confident it will happen in the next year. And I’m SO excited about that.
What advice do you have for moms who want to start a business?
- If you've got the desire to start a business, then you CAN do it. I truly believe we only have the desires that we're able to achieve. And if the desire is there...what are you waiting for?
- I used to fall into the perfectionist trap of waiting for things to be "perfect" as if that ever happens...but I've grown so much since starting my business, and now I know that done is better than perfect, and action brings clarity. If you're unclear on a direction, take a step in a direction (ANY direction) and it will become clear what the next step should be.

Ohhhh…so many! I love Emily P Freeman’s podcast – The Next Right Thing…to help reduce decision fatigue. Also, James Wedmore’s Mind Your Business podcast covers the mindset aspect of business (which is rarely talked about).
