We all love being a mom, before we talk about mom life, share with us who you are. We want to know your story- what do you love to do? what are you passionate about?
I am 33 years old- born and raised in Greeley- I might be crazy but I love it here!! I attended Northridge High School when it first opened which is where I met my husband Nathan. Over the last 18 years we have gotten married and had three beautiful children together. We have walked through our highest highs and our lowest lows together. I am obsessed with lots of fun things-planners- mine is full of inspirational quotes, stickers, bible verses, and many colors of ink, photography, scrap-booking, movies, books, adult coloring, and all things Disney. I am a super fortunate adult and absolutely love my job. I have always been a very social person and love to do group activities and meet new people. Some things that have happened in our life recently have changed my life forever and have left me trying to navigate through bouts of depression, PTSD, and trying to survive my own grief and that of my husband, and children. I have become very passionate about navigating life through these hard waters, but also still finding joy in our days. I think building and expanding a village of women is crucial to successfully living life, as a mom, wife, friend…as a woman.
We live in beautiful state, what do you enjoy doing with your children outdoors?
Being able to be outdoors year-round is my favorite part of living in beautiful Colorado. We kind of go through phases of what we like to do. Number one for me on the outdoors list is the Denver Zoo. It doesn’t matter what season, the zoo is wonderful any day. We also love to camp, fish and hike. My kids are older now but when they were little some of our favorite days were even just doing chalk drawings or bubbles in the yard or driveway. We love to BBQ and play lawn games such as corn-hole, lawn darts, or croquet. We also love to participate in lantern festivals- if you have never been- you need to go. When the weather is right my kids will never turn down a day to bundle up and play in the snow. Next winter I hope to explore more wintery things such as skiing or snowboarding.
