We were so excited that our first time out was a success. If we are honest we were not sure how many Moms would show up, we were happy to have at least 5 and we exceeded that number. As we planned our December event we knew we wanted it to be where moms could actually interact with each other so we decided we would have a painting class. We asked a Mom we knew that wanted to launch her own painting business to teach our mamas and there was so much laughter and fun going on. We wore ugly sweaters except for me (Angela) my soon to be 1 year old at the time over ate and threw up on me, but I did not let it ruin my evening, I just said, “Oh well,” thanked my sitter and left. He was not sick he just overate. My sweater was pretty cool and pretty expensive (I will wear it next year and next time I will shop at a thrift shop and not Kohl’s). We had a little coffee/ hot chocolate station, we had a banner made, we had sandwiches, chips and a little wine for our guests. Before we began painting we had an ice breaker for the mamas to get to know each other and coming from a high school teacher these mamas made ice breakers look cool and not lame, my high school students would have groaned, so we appreciated these mamas making it fun. We were so excited for a successful December Moms Time Out!
